Happy Holidays from Central Park Conservancy!

Dear Friend of the Park,

Even the short, dark days of winter have their own special charm in Central Park. It’s a time for running on the Reservoir Path as the sky turns pink -- walking with steaming hot coffee on a cold New York morning -- enjoying the Mall in the crisp evening air as silvery lamps light up the landscape.

I’m reminded every year how lucky we all are to have Central Park in the middle of this city because when I’m in the Park, it’s the beauty and not the cold which takes my breath away.

I know you agree with me, because I’m lucky enough to see our beloved Park through your eyes with every picture posted and shared on the internet. And there are plenty of them! I'm proud to say that Central Park is the 3rd most-photographed place in the entire world -- thanks in no small part to the Conservancy staff who are out there taking care of the Park every day of the year!

So as we move into the winter holidays, here’s what I’m celebrating: the beauty that you and I and 42 million other people see in the Park every day of the year.
