Holiday Lighting in Central Park
Charles A. Dana Discovery Center (inside the Park at 110th Street between Lenox and Fifth Avenues)

Dana Discovery Center at Holiday LightingCelebrate the season with the Central Park Conservancy's 15th annual holiday lighting of Central Park's northernmost visitor center. Make holiday crafts, decorate (and eat!) cookies, sip hot cocoa and take your photo with Santa (bring your own camera).

 

The event features caroling by Tammy Coil and the Columbia University a capella group the Metrotones; a four-foot ice sculpture by master carvers from Okamoto Studio; and a 12-foot floating Christmas tree on the Harlem Meer.

 

Festivities begin at 4:00 pm and will culminate at 5:15 pm with the illumination of thousands of white LED lights strung on the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center.

 

The event, organized by the Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy, is made possible by our founding sponsor ConEdison.

 

Free. Families only; no groups, please. For more information, please call 212-860-1370. Please note: strollers will not be permitted onsite during the Holiday Lighting, but a stroller check will be made available to all attendees.
